DON’T GET A WHITE TATTOO!
White ink is only used in highlits. Because of its color, white ink will change its color depending on how tanned you are, if used in large quantities. For instance, if you are afro-american, the white ink will look brown. Get a traditional black ink tattoo it will show up, don’t be afraid.
Choose you tattoo shop/parlor carefully, don’t always go for extra cheap ones. Be sure the shop is clean, f it’s not simply go away. If the shop is ok, always ask for the artist’s portfolio, so you are sure you like his work, details and such.

Hope you will like your tattoo!

No, tattoo ink is really see through so it would be basically impossible to see. it’s like holding colored celophane over paper… The color will show if you hold it over white but not if you hold it over black.
White hardly even shows up on light skin and is only used in highlighting because there is so much contrast with the darker colors that it seems bringhter.

white ink is actually transparent, it’s mostly used for highlighting.
