Review by Emily W. for next STYLE FASHION ART Designer Tattoos & Body Art Kit (Includes 475 Temporary Body Tattoos & Jewels, Stencils & Markers)

The stencils are good. I used them with henna and they worked great. They stick to my skin, don’t let any henna paste spread under the stencil, peel off easily, and are entirely reusable, at least if they’re used on clean skin (since I’d thoroughly washed my skin for the henna, the adhesive on the stencils stayed very clean, but I would imagine that if I’d been stick the stencils to dirty skin they would lose their adhesiveness pretty quickly).
The markers included with the kit are a different matter though. From what I can tell, they’re water based, so I was able to rinse the ink right off in the sink. However, that was actually a relief since the ink bled under the stencil and made a complete mess of everything. The ink was also coming off on everything it touched, so I was worried it was going to get all over my clothes if I wasn’t able to wash it off (although in retrospect, it probably have come right out in the wash anyway). It was basically like drawing on myself with Crayola markers, which is not something I would generally recommend.
I haven’t actually tried the tattoos yet, but I have quite a lot of experience with temporary tattoos, and I can tell these are nothing special. They don’t look like the party favor kind, so they’ll probably stay on well enough, but other than the very cheapest ones there’s not a whole lot of variation in that, so it’s mainly just the designs, and these are not particularly great. Some of them are cute, but they’re a lot smaller than I expected (the box is misleading here — it’s a full-size box with nothing in it but a small envelope of papers, literally taped to the inside of the box), and on four of the six sheets the designs are so close together that it’s going to be almost impossible to cut them apart even with an X-acto knife, let alone with scissors. Sure it’s a lot of tattoos, but some of them are the size of the fingernail tattoos I have, which cost $1.50 for a sheet of 100 of them (and are at least as good quality as these, and a lot easier to cut out from the sheet), and overall I would say that the tattoos plus the sheet of stick-on gems are maybe comparable to sets of tattoos I’ve bought elsewhere for around $5-10, and even those usually include more tattoos, without the little tiny ones, that are generally nicer than these.
