@KisforKarole I’m not sure, how tough is the scar tissue? I just talked my my piercer about this yesterday. Haha, it really depends on how much scarring there is. If you want to send me a picture in my Inbox of the scar then I can probably give you a bit more info.

@ZapZapMimi yeah I had my surface piercing fer about a year before it started to actually surface so I ended up taking it out and now i have a funny looking scar lol but ive been thinking about a dermal but idk if it can be done over the scar tissue…?

Surface piercings scar a lot more than dermals do.. The only time dermals scar bad is when they reject or if they get ripped out. If you go to a shop that does dermals usually they do dermal removals. Anchor microdermals are a lot more popular than surface piercings now because they last a lot longer. Plus the rejection rate for surface bars are extremely high. I just wanted to put that out there, because I’m going to get my 4th dermal and personally I like them a lot more than surface bars.

@gun413573 Yeah ill always recommend sizing up slowly! If your at a 4 now use a 2 taper, make sure to clean it and rotate it everyday until it rotates smoothly THEN put in a size 0 taper. That’ll make the transition alot easier on your ears…. Hope this helped

I got a 4 Gauge in but i did have a 0 in but it fell out while i was a sleep and it also bled i want to do it again i was wonderin if u think i should go to a 2 Gauge then to a 0

@anarchyzippo Okay heres my opinion. The best thing to do would be get it done professionally & wear a hoop at first. I say this because there is so much risk of infection in & around your mouth so you want to make sure its done with clean, sterile, professional tools. Dont wear a stud until it heals. When its first pierced it will swell around the stud & thats just uncomfortable with the pinching & possible biting on the back of the stud so hoop it up for a month or so. Hope I helped! -Karole

im 15 and i want to get a lip piercing. my mom wasn’t for my getting my ear pierced so i did it my self and it turned out really well!!! after the fact my mom liked it, but she is iffy on me getting my lip pierced, should i do it myself or go somewhere b/c i’m not 16 yet and i don’t really trust clares of a cheap place to do it. I have a good Gold stud and all the tools to do it myself, should I?

@awesomevidmaker Hmm I think the surface piercing on my face hurt the most because its sooo to my eye and I could see the big needle :/ But I think I just freaked myself out lol
