Just because someone doesn’t have a tattoo or is not old enough to have a tattoo doesn’t mean they can’t have an opinion…gotta love “public forums”…

I have 8 tattoos currently.
I have one booked for in two weeks time and another booked for two weeks after that.
I currently have a further 5 designs that I am working on for after those.
I also have 11 piercings.
So although I do not consider myself an expert I am at least experienced!

I love going under the needle, I love being tattooed! I know it stings a bit but I love the end result, it’s always worth the small pain!

I haven’t got pictures I can post yet but as soon as I do I will.

I think a lot of younger people are interested in tattoos but any reputable tattooist will not work on someone below the legal age limit whatever that is in the country they are based in.
I don’t think putting an age limit on the tattoo section would stop younger people been fascinated by the idea, it may just force then to go somewhere less reliable for information.
But that’s just my opinion!

Edit: Kimberlyn I’m sorry that you regret some of your tattoos but I started having mine done when I was 18 and nearly 10 years on I still love them all!
I think it’s important to think your designs through properly and not get something faddish or something that may not be significant to you in the future.
I don’t think having the age limit increased would make people make any more sensible choices regarding their ink work, I know fully grown men still getting some dumb things tattooed on their bodies.

i have two and am planning a few more (and a full back piece)

this —–> is my newest

i don’t think this section should be age restricted or anything. a lot of younger kids are just interested and want to know more. if we restrict age we restrict their access to this information.

not all kids are stupid, and not all adults know what they want either.

I have 4 tats, one on the way next week. I give honest opinions from my own experience for relevant questions.

no pictures of mine on the internet, but I do have a pretty large tattoo.

Most of the questions on here are common sense anyway, but even when they aren’t, I tend to know pretty much what I’m talking about.

Also, anybody under 18 who asks any tattoo question should get some sort of default message telling them not to get tattooed until they’re old/mature enough

NO!

We already live in a world of too many restrictions. Governments trying to protect us left right and center etc. Slapping rules and regulations on this that and the other ‘for our own good’. I’m not saying that under 18′s should get tattooed (I’m 25 btw), but they should be able to ask questions as they wish.

It is restricted, you shouldn’t be allowed to have a tattoo till you are 18 years old or the tattoo can have his licence took of him/her, yes i have tattoo’s i love the artwork that goes into doing one.

I would shoe you pics of my tats but i don’t know how to put them on to ya.

No way, I love reading the answers to tattoo questions when 3/4 of them are people saying “Eww tattoos are gross”.

As funn4lad4 sais
“Just because someone doesn’t have a tattoo or is not old enough to have a tattoo doesn’t mean they can’t have an opinion…gotta love “public forums”…”
It is a public fourm and that is what happens.

I got one recently. Have always wanted one to be reminded of something that bring joy to my heart. I have a picture as my defult picture of my tattoo. Many may ask, its just dog prints, but to me it means who I am.
Yes it has a nice story behind it :)

I have five tattoos, two that will have to be redone soon. Age restrictions on this section probably aren’t a good idea…we should all be free to ask and learn, and admire well-done ink, and what’s to stop anyone from lying about their age?

I have two pretty large 1′s on my shoulders…..with more to come. Should the tattoo section be age restricted ?? I don’t think so…..there are a lot of people in here that get very meaningful tattoos that have been well thought out…..maybe (just maybe) some of the younger people reading questions & answers on here will pick up on that & not just run out at 18 and get something trendy or cool that really has no meaning.

These are my two:

I have 2 tattoos so far and 1 piercing so far. (I don’t think I’ve got any pix available)

But, no, I don’t think there should be any restrictions, although it is annoying when people who **** tattoos answer questions about tattoos with “tattoos are ugly.”

I have so many tattoos that the more I get done, the more they just turn into one big one.

I think that any age is fine. Exposing children to the tattoo world makes them less freaked out by it. I guarentee that no 16 here would talk about how nasty tattoos on women are. LOL (sorry couldn’t resist)

I have several on my back, buttocks, ankles and leg. No this section should not be age restricted.
