First Tattoo being done on my wrist.
I had this done on the 11th of February 2011, it's my daughters name and a tribal lizard, thought I'd be different and have something less girly than butterfly's and flowers!

@MsLunaLover Also my tattoo is about an inch down from the start of the palm of my hand as when I bend my wrist the skin folds so would have ruined the tattoo. Where mine is can easily be covered up with a long sleeved top so that doesnt bother me. You can obviously have it wherever you want, but I like it when people notice it and ask about it lol! In my opinion I think a peace sign would look better an inch down like mine, but its all up to you and your preferences. x

Ummm, it took about an hour, but I originally went in for just the lizard so for some of that time he was preparing the needle, tracing the design I had brought in and halfway through tracing the writing and choosing the style of writing. So altogether it was about 35-40. Im guessing your from the U.S or something because you posted this comment at half 3 in the morning over here in the U.K lol. But the tattooist I went to charges £60 an hour (I dont know how much that is in $)
How long did it take? And how much was it? I want to get one done on my wrist and I’m a little nervous- its my first. I want a piece sign… What looks better upper or lower wrist? — like should I put it where it can be covered or up farther?
It is a bit scary but you will be fine! And thats from someone who faints at the sight of needles! I took sugary sweets I could chew on and the one thing that honestly saved me was coca cola! So thats a first on your list! I nearly cancelled at the last minute through fear but as soon as he started (and I was sipping my cola) it was fine. It does sting but it is a tattoo! The worst bit was not knowing what it feels like. Where on your body are you having it done? X

Hi, I could give you a pain rating out of 10 but everyones pain threshold is different. It hurt most around and on the 2 bones going down my wrist. It feels like a sharp scratch over and over again. The guy told me that the inner wrist is one of the most painful parts to get it done but if thats as bad as it gets then I’ll have them everywhere! To be honest the worst part for me was watching him set it up and not knowing what it was going to feel like! But when he got going it was ok.
How bad did it hurt?
