What if the scars are pinkish? Can they still be tattooed?

mines are really old scars… quite long about 8 inches on each side of my upper side of my leg, it’s a surgery operation scar about 13 yrs old. a tiny bit raised. colour is similar to my skin tone… (fair skin tone) is it possible?
